Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 10, 2026
Dragy Moto Lab and Chainline are apps of E-Splice LLC (“E-Splice”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use dragymotolab.e-splice.com (the “site”), the Chainline web app at /app/, and the Chainline Android app (package com.chainline.gearing), how we use it, who receives it, how long we keep it and how you can delete it. The Android app shows the same web app inside the app, so everything below applies to it too.
1. Summary
- We collect your email address and account details when you create an account, your plan and trial status, and the order, billing and subscription details needed to sell Chainline Pro.
- Payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal on the website, and by Google Play in the Android app from Google Play. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Your bikes, gearing setups, profiles, runs, timer history and suspension measurements are saved on your device, not on our servers. If you are signed in, your maintenance log is also stored on our server so it syncs and we can send the reminders you turn on.
- Location is used only when you use the GPS timer or the Weather tool, and only if you allow it. We don’t store it on our servers.
- We don’t sell your personal data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
- You can delete your account and data at any time at dragymotolab.e-splice.com/delete-account/.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Account
When you create an account (on the site, in the web app or in the Android app) we collect your email address and a password. WordPress stores the password hashed, never in plain text. Your name is collected if you enter it at checkout or in My Account.
2.2 Chainline account record
For each account we keep a Chainline record with: an account ID linked to your site account, your email, your plan (Lite, trial or Pro), trial start and end dates, whether you are subscribed or have cancelled, the related order number, and when the record was created and updated. The record also has fields for a card brand and the last 4 digits of a card. The current web and Android apps do not fill them in; they are only stored if an app version sends them. We never receive full card numbers, expiry dates or security codes.
2.3 Orders, subscriptions and payments
When you start a trial or subscribe to Chainline Pro, WooCommerce and our subscription system store your billing name, email and address (as entered at checkout), the product, prices, dates, the subscription status and renewal dates, and the payment status. Your payment details go directly to Stripe (cards) or PayPal, which process them under their own privacy policies. We get back limited details such as a payment reference, the payment status and, for cards, the brand and last 4 digits, and a saved-payment reference so renewals can be charged. To help prevent fraud, Stripe’s and PayPal’s checkout scripts may collect device and browser information on the checkout page.
Google Play purchases. If you subscribe to Chainline Pro in the Android app installed from Google Play, Google processes the purchase and payment under the Google Play terms and Google’s privacy policy. We receive from Google: a purchase token, the product and plan, the order ID, the subscription status, start and expiry dates, whether it is in a free trial or renewing, and an account identifier that we create from your account ID as a one-way hash so the purchase can be linked to your account. We don’t receive your card or Google payment details.
WooCommerce also records how you arrived at the site when you place an order (“order attribution”: for example the referring site, campaign tags, device type and the number of pages viewed in that visit) and stores this with the order.
2.4 Messages you send us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. Contact-form messages are sent to us by email.
2.5 Maintenance log and reminders
When you are signed in and use Maintenance, we store your maintenance data on our server so it syncs between your devices and so we can send reminders: bike names, service items and intervals, service dates, odometer readings, costs and notes you enter. If you turn on email reminders (Chainline Pro), we use your account email to send them, at most one reminder per item each week, and every email has a link to turn them off. If you turn on notifications, we store a push token for each device: for browsers and home-screen apps, the push subscription address issued by your browser’s push service (for example Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft), which we use to send a wake-up signal with no content; for the Android app, a random device token the app uses to check our server for reminders. Turning notifications off or deleting your account removes them. Suspension setup measurements stay on your device.
2.6 Location
Location is optional and is used only for these features, and only after you allow it in your browser or in Android’s permission prompt:
- GPS timer (Pro): uses your device’s precise location while you time a run, to measure speed, distance and elapsed time on your device. If there is no GPS fix, it can look up an approximate location from your IP address (see ipwho.is below). It also uses your location to fetch the weather for the run.
- Weather: uses your location for “My area” forecasts, alerts and radar. You can search for a place by name instead.
We don’t send your location to our servers or store it there. To fetch weather, place names and maps, your coordinates (or the place name you searched) are sent from your device directly to the services in section 4. Runs you save in the GPS timer, including the GPS points recorded during the run, are stored only on your device (section 3). The Android app does not use location in the background.
2.7 Technical data and cookies
Like any website, our hosting server receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and keeps them in standard server logs for security and troubleshooting. The site uses cookies and similar storage that are needed for it to work:
- WordPress sign-in cookies (wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, wordpress_test_cookie) to keep you signed in.
- WooCommerce cart and session cookies (woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_*), set once you add something to the cart, for the cart and checkout.
- WooCommerce order-attribution cookies (sbjs_*) that record how you arrived, saved with an order if you place one.
- Stripe and PayPal cookies on the checkout and payment pages, for payment processing and fraud prevention.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics or tracking services such as Google Analytics or Facebook pixels.
3. Data stored on your device
Most of what you enter in Chainline stays on your device, in your browser’s local storage (or the Android app’s own storage): your garage and bikes, rider weight, gearing bench setups and profiles, custom pulls, dyno log entries, lab runs, GPS timer runs and settings, and the last weather fetched. This data is not sent to us and does not sync between devices, except your maintenance log when you are signed in (section 2.5). The GPS timer and Times lab can export it as a file if you choose. Clearing the site’s data in your browser, clearing the Android app’s storage or uninstalling the app deletes it. If Android device backup is turned on, Android may include the app’s data in your device backup with Google, under your Google account settings.
4. Third-party services
The app contacts these services directly from your device when you use the related feature. Each receives your IP address and the request details shown, under its own privacy policy:
- Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com, geocoding-api.open-meteo.com): weather forecasts for your coordinates and place-name search. Used by Weather and the GPS timer.
- BigDataCloud (api.bigdatacloud.net): turns your coordinates into a place name in Weather.
- US National Weather Service (api.weather.gov): weather alerts for your coordinates in Weather.
- RainViewer (api.rainviewer.com, tilecache.rainviewer.com): radar images for the map in Weather.
- OpenStreetMap (tile.openstreetmap.org): map tiles in Weather.
- unpkg (unpkg.com): delivers the Leaflet map software used in Weather.
- ipwho.is: used by the GPS timer only when there is no GPS fix, to estimate your approximate location from your IP address.
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com): fonts on some tool pages.
- WordPress.org (s.w.org): emoji images on site pages.
- PayPal (www.paypal.com): PayPal’s checkout script loads on the product, cart and checkout pages, before you choose a payment method.
These are only links: the app sends them nothing unless you open them. dragy-decryptor.d3vl.com (mentioned in Times lab for decrypting exported files) and the parts-retailer search links in the gearing bench (RevZilla, Chaparral, Partzilla, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Sprocket Center, Parts Unlimited). Links to other websites open in your browser and are governed by those sites’ policies.
5. How we use data
- To create and run your account, sign you in, and give you the Lite or Pro tools your plan includes (legal basis where applicable: performance of our contract with you).
- To process trials, subscriptions, renewals, refunds and failed-payment retries, and to send the related emails: receipts, a trial reminder 3 days before a trial ends, payment and cancellation notices, and account emails such as password resets (contract).
- To answer your messages (contract / legitimate interests).
- To keep the site and your account secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems (legitimate interests).
- To keep the business, tax and accounting records the law requires (legal obligation).
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. When you place an order on the website, your billing name and email are added to the customer list in the E-Splice business tools that run this site. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email with the link in it, and deleting your account removes you from that list.
6. Who we share data with
We don’t sell or rent personal data, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Payment processors: Stripe and PayPal (website payments) and Google Play Billing (purchases in the Android app from Google Play), to take payments and prevent fraud.
- Hosting: our hosting provider, which hosts the site, its database, server logs and backups.
- Email delivery: our hosting and email service providers, which send account and order emails.
- The services in section 4, which your device contacts directly when you use those features.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
- A successor, if the business is sold or merged, under this policy.
7. Security
The site, the web app and the Android app use HTTPS (encrypted in transit) for all traffic to our servers; the Android app blocks unencrypted connections. Passwords are stored hashed. Access to account data is limited to site administrators. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
8. How long we keep data
We keep personal data as long as needed to provide the service and meet our legal obligations. In particular:
- Account and Chainline record: until you delete your account, or ask us to.
- Orders and subscription records: kept for 7 years for tax purposes. If you delete your account, your name, email and address are removed from them and only the amounts, dates and products are kept.
- Google Play purchase records (token, status, dates, order ID): kept with your account while it exists; order IDs and dates are kept with our order records for 7 years for tax purposes.
- Payment data held by Stripe, PayPal and Google: under their own retention policies.
- Contact messages, server logs and backups: as long as needed to provide the service, handle your request, keep the site secure and meet legal obligations. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.
- Email delivery log: the site keeps the recipient and subject of the last 50 emails it sent, for troubleshooting; older entries are overwritten.
- Maintenance data and push tokens: until you delete them in the app, turn notifications off, or delete your account. A push token is also removed when the push service reports it is no longer valid.
- Data on your device: until you delete it (section 3).
9. Delete your account and data
You can delete your account and the data linked to it at any time, from the website or after using the Android app:
- Go to dragymotolab.e-splice.com/delete-account/, sign in and confirm. This immediately cancels any Chainline Pro subscription bought on the website (it won’t renew), deletes your account (email, name, password, addresses, saved payment methods), deletes your Chainline record, removes your name, email and address from past orders and from our contact list, and signs you out. Data saved in that browser is also cleared.
- If you subscribed in the Android app through Google Play, Google bills that subscription: cancel it in the Google Play app (Profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions) so it doesn’t renew.
- If you can’t sign in, email support@e-splice.com from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my Chainline account”. We will delete it and confirm by email.
- Order amounts and dates are kept without your personal details for the period in section 8. Data held only on your device is deleted when you clear the app’s data or uninstall it.
10. Your rights
You can see and update most of your details in My Account. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict some processing, and to withdraw consent (for example, to location access, which you can turn off in your browser or Android settings at any time). To use these rights, email support@e-splice.com. We won’t discriminate against you for using them. We will respond to requests as required by applicable law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Children
Chainline is meant for adults and is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 to create an account or buy a subscription. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has given us personal data, email support@e-splice.com and we will delete it.
12. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our hosting and the services above may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
13. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. If the changes are significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
